red1: hola CarlosRuiz
CarlosRuiz: Hi red1
Deepak: Hello red1 and carlos
red1: hi Deepak
CarlosRuiz: Hi Deepak - Hi everybody
Deepak: I want to know do we have added unique constraints in AD Column?
a42niem: hi gentlemen
nmicoud: Bonjour !
Deepak: We have seen a interesting problem in adempiere and want to check can we resolve that in iDempiere
CarlosRuiz: which unique is needed Deepak?
Deepak: we have key but can we make column as unique
Deepak: I mean without making key
Deepak: For example on product we may want to make sku as unique
CarlosRuiz: ah - you mean if we have unique flag on column - nope
pedrorozo: Hi everyone ....
CarlosRuiz: we don't have that - index definition on dictionary would be worthy
Deepak: In one of our project we implied unique constraints for columns to avoid duplicate value issue and customer creates product using copy record functionality
red1: Hola pedrorozo
Deepak: When copy record is done then it is making copy of value of all fields
Deepak: so if user persist record then it is creating duplicate value on columns where there is need for uniqness
nmicoud: The 'IsAllowCopy' flag on AD_Column could be used for this purpose. Uncheck it for columns which required uniqness.
Deepak: ahh, Thanks
pedrorozo: I have a couple of questions for the dev team Today ...and good news to share from our SmartJSP team regarding the migration of SmartPOS to idempiere ....
red1: thats great pedrorozo
pedrorozo: let´s start with good news ...
pedrorozo: we got a small budget from one or of customers to sponsor our smartpos 2.0 migration to idempiere ...
pedrorozo: then we will have tha done during april time .. to share it with the community ...
pedrorozo: That also means a real fist steo o evolve our contributions to idempiere ...
pedrorozo: First question to the dev. team ... we have an adempiere 3.6.1 with last Nov. patches applied ..after our idempiere docs review, . if we just want to migrate it to idempiere it is just matter to apply the remaining migration sql scripts to that db (postgres) ... and run the new idempiere app on top of the same database rigth ?
CarlosRuiz: :-) not sure what do you mean with "dev team" - not that kind of "teams" here - but as you're talking about 361 I guess is pointing to me
red1: :)
red1: a powerful team
pedrorozo: sure ..
red1: i think u are right pedro
pedrorozo: perfect thanks .. next one, are you planning any version upgrade with jasper reports for the upcoming Idempiere release .?
red1: is there good news from Jasperreports?
pedrorozo: I am just double checking potential compatibility issues of our contributions with newer versions of these libs like: web services, jasper, db and others related ...
red1: those are perenial issues
red1: will always recur.. just hope backward compatibility persists
Deepak: iDempiere uses Jasper 4.6.0 and there is issue related to barcode in idempiere
Deepak: We are working to fix that
Deepak: Jasper is backward compatible
pedrorozo: great. we are alredy checking the idempiere source code for it, but just want to be sure if you plan any other upgrade change of those versions before the upcoming 1.0 release ...
CarlosRuiz: also note that OSGi is more capable to solve the jar nightmare than what we used to have
pedrorozo: great and 4.6 is a good jump to enhance idempire reporting capacbilities such as : subreports and so on ...
CarlosRuiz: which is latest jasper?
Deepak: It is 5.0
CarlosRuiz: worthy to migrate to before R1?
Deepak: I looked at change log at here http://sourceforge.net/p/jasperreports/news/
Deepak: it has most of performance related improvements since 4.6
hengsin: carlos, are we ready for release ?
CarlosRuiz: I think we're ready for a beta (first was alpha)
red1: Edwin's baby girl's name is Devina :)
hengsin: is Edwin here
CarlosRuiz: Daphne?
hengsin: http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Devina
red1: No he is not in yet
red1: but he told me earlier that its Devina
red1: i spelt wrongly
pedrorozo: quick question: from QA/testing perspective which areas of Idempiere do you consider more stable or already tested .. and which ones are more in progress with these upcoming beta releases .. do you track that progress in any log or QA web page ...?
nberisha: Hi everyone
hengsin: or maybe "Divina", latin/italian variant.
CarlosRuiz: Hi Naim
nberisha: hi carlos
nberisha: if you have some min
nberisha: to check for the issue IDEMPIERE-749
CarlosRuiz: sure nberisha - let me check
nberisha: and also IDEMPIERE-732
nberisha: which is more serious issue
CarlosRuiz: pedrorozo, I think the modules that are core-ERP plus maybe requests can be considered stable - the new modules like fixed assets and mfg light - well we expect more testings and fixes on those
nberisha: in multi client implementation
CarlosRuiz: wow - big security flaw - will test that first ...
CarlosRuiz: we really appreciate you taking the time to report those issues
hengsin: for IDEMPIERE-732, the patch is not correct though. carlos, I will look at that one.
nberisha: @Carlos, no prob, when I am finding time I am doing tests, and mean while I have some more minor issues to report
red1: CarlosRuiz can i twit about this pending release?
red1: or are you looking for a release manager? :P
CarlosRuiz: banym, AYT?
CarlosRuiz: nberisha, found the fix for the 749
red1: pedrorozo: can u give me link to your new smartpos that is converted to OSGi? i want to twit about it

hengsin: Naim, please verify my changes for IDEMPIERE-732. report back to the ticket if there are still issues pending.
nberisha: Ok Hangsin, I will let you know if I find anything
red1: good work nberisha :)
CarlosRuiz: it works in my tests hengsin
nberisha: Carlos for the IDEMPIERE-749 fix, did when you click Rest button
nberisha: did you try
nberisha: @red1, thnx
hengsin: carlos, it seems unity doesn't like idempiere :)
buildmaster: Project iDempiere build #941: SUCCESS in 5 min 55 sec: http://jenkins.idempiere.com/job/iDempiere/941/
red1: You are welcome nberisha .. i wonder if you are coming to the conference in either Germany or Russia?
hengsin: http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Divina - italian origin
CarlosRuiz: working on gnome-classic today - I got used to unity layout :-) - but firefox is behaving better
red1: i am going to both
red1: so do we agree on Devina or Divina?
red1: due to the 'i' i suppose :D
nberisha: @red1, I will try to come in Germany
nberisha: if I succeed to get visa
nberisha: :)
pedrorozo: quick question about our Idempiere conference in Germany (May 16,17).... I am starting to look for budget and logictics .. just want verify if we are 100% sure about the conference dates .. to reserve my fligth tickets this week . is there any risk to cancel or re-schedule ...
red1: isnt Moscow nearer and require no visa?
red1: pedrorozo: there is not much risk of reschedule, if we are just trying to meet and discuss over iDempiere features
red1: remember there be no discussion about the other side
nberisha: Germany is closer
red1: this time we are very strict
pedrorozo: very good ... that way we can also plan our SmartPOS migration to Idempiere before the conference ....
red1: oh u mean u havent? I thought u had
pedrorozo: according to the wiki I don´t see much people registered to attend the conference yet .. is Thomas receiving registrations by mail or other way ... any recent update on potential attendants ?
red1: I want to blast about the new logo
red1: we will do some first round voting for a candidate to be used in the beta release
red1: and may vote for another one on the next release
red1: keeping it simple
red1: ok, one final logo after two rounds of voting and in time before the upcoming beta release
red1: i will put them in the wiki main page
CarlosRuiz: pedrorozo, 18 people is a good number at this stage IMHO - specially when we say "no politics"
red1: i expect 25
pedrorozo: I agree Carlos.....just want to be in sync with the real number of attendants ... with these clafirications and date confirmation I will be there for sure .. thanks
red1: is Juan David coming?
CarlosRuiz: hopefullu
CarlosRuiz: hopefully
nberisha: Hengsin I tested your fix, but if you uptick All/Any from Product Info it is still taking into account other parameters. From my understanding of option All/Any in info windows if it is unticked then non of parameters should be taked into account when building query. Or I am wrong?
nberisha: uptick = untick
hengsin: no, the all/any means use "AND" or "OR" for the parameters. i.e match to all parameter or match to any of the parameter
nberisha: ah, then it is OK. thnx for clarifying
nberisha: I don't have any thing else for now,
nberisha: have to go, bye
red1: bye
hengsin: bye
red1: CarlosRuiz: wdyt? http://wiki.idempiere.org/wiki/Main_Page
red1: logos are posted
CarlosRuiz: excellent!
CarlosRuiz: how - where we collect votes? forum thread?
red1: I think in the Facebook is one way
red1: and twit and google group
red1: i will post at adempiere's wiki too :D
red1: just joking
CarlosRuiz: you're right a more social place - forums are for support
pedrorozo: bye
CarlosRuiz: red1, Orlando just signed to attend Krefeld also
CarlosRuiz: wondering if you two can present LiVE
red1: Yes he was confirming with me earlier
CarlosRuiz: great - we can add that lecture too
hengsin: you can setup vote at facebook, I think that's better.
hengsin: what is LiVE ?
CarlosRuiz: payroll from Venezuela
CarlosRuiz: plugin
CarlosRuiz: red1 - facebook allow to do something like survey
CarlosRuiz: but seems like cannot combine images with questions :-(
hengsin: link ?
CarlosRuiz: red1 - also I think is good to create the training and conference events on facebook
CarlosRuiz: hengsin, I think red1 has collected most of that work here http://red1.org/adempiere/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1730&p=8354
hengsin: Carlos, I means if we can't have image, can we have link to image in the survey ?
CarlosRuiz: ah :-)
CarlosRuiz: don't know - links seems to not work the usual facebook way
